valentine bear online class only - no kit
you asked for it and i’m so excited to offer it… an online class for my popular valentine bear! this class has a materials list. there is NO KIT! i’ve done this to make the class more accessible to more people in more places, yay! once you learn to make my bear you can start making all sorts of friends for him. tons of possibilities!
lifetime access to the video. (as long as i’m in business, the video will be available to watch again and again if you wish.)
your purchase includes a PDF that includes the link and password to my video recording. this video is private and accessible only to the purchaser. please do not share the password with anyone that did not purchase it. i’ve made the class really affordable and i appreciate you respecting my hard work:)
just under 1 1/2 hours of me showing you how to sculpt with polymer clay, painting techniques, decorating ideas and tips and of course how to make hearts so you can put them on dowels and start sticking them everywhere!
here is everything you’ll need to follow along with the class.
SUPPLIES LIST:
acrylic craft paints. i used the Folk Art brand in the color Real Brown, Hot Pink, Red, Black, White and Adrift. you can use any colors you like!
paint brushes… i prefer small round brushes and spotter brushes. small brush= easier details.
small wood rounds. you can find these at the craft store or i purchase from birch-logs.com…the 6 pack.
length of wire. i used 18 gauge but you can use whatever you have on hand as long as it’s strong enough to hold up his heart and arms.
moss. you can find in the floral aisle at your craft store. (or maybe you have real moss growing in your yard!) you can find dark green here and chartreuse here
hot glue gun
knife to cut clay with (i use a retired steak knife) you can also use a soap cutter if you have one
wooden dowels 1/8” or larger
pencil
tray for baking…a cheap aluminum tray works great. you just don’t want to use that item for anything but clay afterwards.
optional… acrylic clay roller or pasta/clay roller machine. this helps to condition the clay and thin it out for easier use. an old rolling pin can work too… just something that can be forever designated to clay after using it:)
optional…liquitex gel medium. found in the fine art aisle of the craft store. i love this as a glue but you can use whatever you have on hand!
optional… old books to tear out words to add to your hearts
optional… sculpey satin glaze. found in the clay aisle. i use it as a glue to attach the torn words and you can finish your piece as a fina protectant layer.
optional… clay tools. i don’t think you need them… your fingers are your best tool!
